On Monday morning, October 9th, while Mrs. Dora M. Eaton was preparing breakfast, she was taken suddenly ill and was assisted to bed by her son, where her condition grew rapidly worse until in a very short time she passed out of life. Her age was 53 years. The funeral services were held at her home on Tuesday, the interment being in the cemetery at Bolivar. Mrs. Eaton leaves four sons and four daughters: Mrs. Carrie Oden, near Zoar; Mrs. Flora M. Miller and Mrs. Nettie Jones, at Bakerton, and Edith at home; while William, Carrol and Albert are of the Bakerton vicinity, Clarence of Burnwell, W. Va. Mrs. Eaton was a much respected resident of this vicinity and this paper expresses sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mr. “Pet” Moler is spending the week with his daughter, Mrs. Watson, in Brunswick, Md.
Rev. James Atkins, of Fairfield, W. Va., is in charge of the revival services which are being held each night at the M. E. Church South, assisted by the pastor, Rev. C. E. Brandt. Musical solos and duets have been ably rendered by Mrs. Robert Gibson, of Shepherdstown; Mrs. C. A. Moler, Rev. C. E. Brandt and Miss Genevieve Carter. Rev. Atkins preaches forceful, appealing sermons that hold the attention of the audience from night to night.

Mrs. Robert Gibson, of Shepherdstown, spent the week-end with Miss Genevieve Carter.
Miss Elizabeth Houser, of Wardensville, W. Va., spent the week-end with the home-folks, Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Houser.
Superintendent of the W. B. L Co’s plant, D. R. Houser, was returned from a ten-day visit with relatives in the West.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lewis, of Dargan, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis and children, of Philadelphia, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. D. W. [M. D.] Welsh and son.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carter and children and Mr. and Mrs. James W. Myers, all of Shepherdstown, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Bowman.
Mrs. Samuel Potts is convalescing from a recent attack of lumbago.
