Dunn Murder"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extract of a letter, dated Harpers Ferry, Baltimore, Jan. 29, 1830.&#8211; &#8220;I am sorry to relate to you the most lamentable occurrence which I have ever witnessed. Our superintendent of the Armory, Col. Thos. B. Dunn, was shot dead in his office to-day, about one o&#8217;clock, by Ebenezer Cox. He walked deliberately into his office with a musket, and shot him dead, the ball passing through his heart; he then went out, pulling the door after him, and endeavoured to escape, but was apprehended and sent to jail. Cox is the most hardened wretch I ever beheld.
