The heaviest storm ever known in the State passed over Jefferson county, West Virginia, on Monday last. Hailstones as large as eggs fell for an hour, killing cattle, hogs and sheep. A heavy rain storm followed, and the damage done is estimated at from $75,000 to $100,000.
