John Lamon, John Greyhorn, John Stephenson, James Stephenson, and Wm. McCaughty from the Kingdom of Ireland came into Court and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that they are men of good demeanor, and well disposed towards the Constitution and Government of the United States, and that they came into the United States prior to the year 1802 and have resided in this county ever since, and the said John Lamon, John Greyhorn, John Stephenson, James Stephenson Jr, and Wm. McCaughty, having took the following oath, “We do in the presence of Almighty God solemnly swear, that we will support the Constitution of the United States, and do abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever particularly to George the third King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, so help me God.” And the said John Lamon, John Greyhorn, John Stephenson, James Stephenson Jr, & Wm. McCaughty did also in open Court renounce all claim to any title or order of nobility; They are therefore admitted citizens of the United States.
