A fire occurred at Triadelphia, Montgomery County, Md., on Monday morning last, at 2 o’clock. Much valuable property was threatened, owing to the high wind blowing at the time. The dwelling adjoining that of Mr. Lansdale, destroyed, was occupied by Mr. Rowe, who saved part of his furniture. The factory, flour-mill, cotton-house, store-house, and other buildings, were saving by the untiring exertions of the people of the place, who divided themselves into squads and passed water to the roofs of the buildings threatened. The origin of the fire was not accounted for, but is supposed to have resulted from accident. Rev. S. V. LEECH and wife, late of this town, were asleep in Mr. Rowe’s residence. They dressed hastily and escaped. Mrs. Beckett fell dead on the spot, through fight.
