  • Bakerton’s Largest Porker

    James Flanagan, of Bakerton, killed a hog last week that weighed 587 ½ pounds. This is, so far as we have heard, the biggest porker yet killed in this neighborhood.

  • Knode & Flanagan Wedding

    Wedding Bells Are Ringing. Miss Florence Virginia Knode, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Knode, of Moler’s Cross Roads, and Mr. Charles William Flanagan, of Bakerton, were married Wednesday evening of last week at the home of the bride. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. I. Stephens in the presence of a large number of the friends and relatives of the happy young couple, and after the wedding a delightful reception was held and a supper served. The bride looked very charming in a beautiful gown of white, while the groom wore the conventional black. Many handsome presents were received. Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan will make their home at Bakerton.

  • Pat Welsh calls Register Office

    We were pleased to have a call a few days ago from Mr. Pat Welsh, of Bakerton, this county.

  • Marriage of Knode & Flanagan

    Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Knode, of Moler’s, this county, announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Florence Virginia, to Mr. Charles William Flanagan, of Bakerton. The ceremony will take place at the bride’s home Wednesday evening, November 21st, at 6 o’clock.

  • Flanagan and son visit D.C.

    Mrs. John G. Flanagan and her son Griggs, of the Bakerton neighborhood, are visiting her sister, Mrs. Altha D. Miller, in Washington, D. C., for a few weeks.

  • Silver Tea at Flanagan’s

    The aid society of Bethesda Church will hold a silver tea on Thursday, July 19th, at the home of James Flanagan. The public are invited.

  • May Register Callers

    Mr. C. D. Carter and Mr. Thomas Welsh, of Bakerton, were among our callers last Monday.

  • Spirits at Register office Brightened

    The Register office was brightened last Thursday by a visit from Mrs. Walter Flanagan, an accomplished lady of Bakerton, and Miss Katherine Houser, the interesting young daughter of Mr. D. R. Houser, of the same place.

  • Waters visits Flanagan at Bakerton

    Miss Ollie Waters, of Frederick, Md., visited Miss Martha Flanagan at Bakerton the past week.

  • Flanagan and Jones Wedding

    Married in Baltimore. A beautiful wedding took place in Baltimore last Wednesday at high noon, when Mr. Walter J. Flanagan, of Bakerton, and Miss Daisy E. Jones were united in marriage at the home of the bride. The parlor was very tastefully decorated with cut flowers and plants. The ceremony was performed by the brother of the bride, Rev. T. C. Jones, who is pastor of Bakerton and Halltown circuit. The couple were the recipients of many handsome presents. After the ceremony and reception they left for a trip south. On their return to Bakerton a reception will be tendered them at the home of John M. Welsh, Tuesday night, December 12th. Their future home will be at Bakerton.
