  • Ross returns to Kansas after Bakerton visit

    Mr. J. D. Ross, who was called to the bedside of her mother, who has been critically ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. G. Flanagan, has returned to her home in Salina, Kansas.

  • Welsh, Flanagan butcher hogs

    James Flanagan, of Bakerton, a few days ago killed ten hogs that averaged 272 pounds each, the heaviest weighing 492 pounds. Thos. B. Welsh was the boss butcher.

  • Died: Raleigh Moler

    Mr. Raleigh W. Moler, a well-known resident of the vicinity of Bakerton, this county, died at his home last night about midnight, after an illness of several months, from a cancerous affection. He was about 43 years of age. Mr. Moler is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Annie Flanagan, and seven children. The funeral takes place Friday at 11 o’clock at Zion Church, and the interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Shepherdstown.
