Miss Mary Engle and Mr. Frederick Moler, both of this county, were married Wednesday evening of last week at the home of the bride’s father, Mr. William Engle, near Keller. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. H. Farring, of Harper’s Ferry.

Obit: Mrs. Elizabeth Lloyd
Mrs. Elizabeth Lloyd, wife of Albin Lloyd, a well known farmer in the Wickliffe neighborhood, died last Thursday at the home of her husband. She was a daughter of Mr. Steven Shull, and was 35 years old. She is survived by a husband and nine children.

Obit: Dennis M. Daniels
Mr. Dennis M. Daniels died suddenly at his home in Frederick, Md, on Sunday morning, December 27, 1903. He arose in his usual bright spirits, and had been chatting with the members of his family for a while and was in the act of combing his hair, when he was stricken with a spell of asthma and died in a few minutes. He was born February 24, 1827, near Duffields, this county, and was in the 77th year of his age. He lived in this county all his life up to two years ago, when he moved with his family to Frederick. About eight years ago he connected himself with the Lutheran Church, under the pastorate of Rev. C. H. Rockey, and remained a faithful and consistent member. Deceased was twice married, and is survived by his second wife and eleven children, three of whom are by his first marriage, John W. Daniels, Mrs. Adam Moler, and Mrs. William Link, all of this county. In 1864 he married his second wife, Miss Mary Anna Sperry, daughter of the late Maj. Warden W. Sperry, of Winchester, Va. The children by his second marriage are Mrs. John E. Burns, Silver Spring, Md; Mrs. Harry E. Mundey, Shepherdstown; Mrs. Harry E. Storm, Mr. Dennis M. Daniels, Jr., Frederick; Mrs. Chas. A. Reed, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Lacie D. Jenkins, Bakerton, this county; Mr. Harry S. Daniels and Miss Bessie H. Daniels, at home. The funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 o’clock at the late residence of the deceased, conducted by Rev. C. H. Rockey, and the remains were laid to rest in the Frederick Cemetery. Mr. Daniels lived for many years on his farm at Bakerton, this county, and was known throughout this section as an honest, upright man. His hearty, genial ways, his kindness of heart, his sincerity and liberality, gained for him a wide circle of friends who will deplore his death. When the present owner of the REGISTER bought this paper more than 21 years ago Mr. Daniels was among the first to give us his support and encouragement, and we have prized his friendship ever since. He thoroughly enjoyed reading his paper and always kept it paid up in advance. He sold his farm at Bakerton a couple of years ago to the proprietors of the lime works at that place and moved to Frederick, but he never lost his interest in his old friends in Jefferson county and frequently visited here. May he rest in peace.

Married In Baltimore: Flanagan & Jones
Married In Baltimore.
A beautiful wedding took place in Baltimore last Wednesday at high noon, when Mr. Walter J. Flanagan, of Bakerton, and Miss Daisy E. Jones were united in marriage at the home of the bride. The parlor was very tastefully decorated with cut flowers and plants. The ceremony was performed by the brother of the bride, Rev. T. C. Jones, who is pastor of Bakerton and Halltown circuit. The couple were the recipients of many handsome presents. After the ceremony and reception they left for a trip south. On their return to Bakerton a reception will be tendered them at the home of John M. Welsh, Tuesday night, December 12th. Their future home will be at Bakerton.

Methodist Camp Meeting At Bakerton
The Methodist campmeeting at Bakerton begins Friday of this week and will be continued for ten days. Services held three times each day. Ministers announced for addresses on Sunday are Revs. George Hazel, F. A. Strother, T. C. Jones and A. T. Jones. Miss Daisy E. Jones, of Baltimore, will sing.

Obit: Annie Frances Moler
Mrs. Annie Frances Moler, widow of Raleigh W. Moler, of Bakerton, died very suddenly last Friday. She had been apparently in perfect health and had gone to the home of Jack Moler, south of Shepherdstown, to assist in the butchering. While she was at work with members of the family she was suddenly stricken with apoplexy, and became unconscious. She was taken ill about 10 o’clock, and at 4 o’clock she died, without having regained consciousness. Her death was a great blow to her family and friends, for it came without any premonitory symptoms. Mrs. Moler was a good woman full of life and energy, and was helpful and kind-hearted, always ready to render service to others in the most unselfish way. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Flanagan, and her age was 48 years, 10 months and 22 days. She is survived by six sons and a daughter: Russell, James, John, Raleigh, Ira, Herbert and Lelia Moler. The funeral service was held in Zion Church Saturday, conducted by Rev. J. C. Siler, and interment was made in Elmwood Cemetery.

Obit: Adam C. Moler
The community has been made sad by the death of Adam C. Moler, of Bakerton. Mr. Moler was a son of the late Raleigh and Margaret Moler and was born October 16, 1845, departing this life June 16, 1921, aged 75 years and 8 months. He enjoyed good health until about a year ago, when from which he sufficiently recovered to be up and around, until last Monday, when he began to complain. On Wednesday he suffered another attack and grew gradually worse, passing quietly away to his home beyond, Thursday night. He leaves a widow, who was a Miss Daniels, and the following children to mourn the loss of a good husband and father: Fonrose, of Adamstown, Md.; Carlton, of Engle, W. Va.; Miller and Mrs. Maud Hendricks, of Bakerton, and Nannie and Mrs. Hugh Moler, at home; also nine grandchildren and two brothers, George P. and Frank M. Moler, near Engle. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at his home by Rev. J. C. Siler, pastor of Zion Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member, assisted by Rev. C. E. Brandt, of the M. E. Church South. His remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Moler was a good Christian man, living a quiet life and spending most of his time in the home he loved, under the watchful care of his loved ones, who will miss greatly his quiet presence among them.

In this town, on Thursday morning last, at the residence of Mr. Joseph M. Cook, of Consumption, Mr. DENNIS HAWKINS, aged about 40 years. He was a native of Ireland– has a wife, daughter and brother living in N. Y.

Obit. Anna Ryan
Mrs. Anna Ryan died last Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. W. McCardell, in Williamsport, after a prolonged illness, aged 83 years. The deceased, was was the widow of Timothy Ryan, formerly lived in Shepherdstown, but moved away from here several years ago. She was a native of Ireland, and came to his country in 1857. She was a good woman, and lived in exemplary Christian life. She is survived by three sons and one daughter: John, of Williamsport; Matthew, of Washington; George F., of Portsmouth, Ohio; and Mrs. McCardell. She was buried at Williamsport yesterday.
