Kidwiler girl, 4-mos old; died of measles
The four months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Kidwiler died at their home on South Queen street, on Saturday night, of measles. The remains were taken to Bakerton on Monday for interment.

Eight Cars & Lime Works Destroyed By Fire; Canal Almost Open After 1889 flood.
The Lime Company’s works at Bakerton, Jefferson county, were destroyed by fire on Sunday morning. Eight cars were also burned. The loss is estimated at $15,000. Property insured for $1,000.
The terrible destruction to the C. & O. Canal by the flood of 1889 is almost removed, and boats are plying between Cumberland and Williamsport, and it is expected to start them for Washington to-day.

Lime Works Narrowly Escape Fire
LIME WORKS CATCH FIRE.– The Bakerton Lime Works narrowly escaped destruction by fire last Saturday. The shedding caught fire while a kiln was being drawn, and there was a sharp fight with the flames for a time. The employees of the works and the people near by fortunately succeeded in putting out the fire before much damage was done.

Father Kelly attends seriously injured Thomas Welsh
Rev. Father Kelly went to Bakerton Wednesday morning to see Thomas Welsh, who was seriously injured by an explosion of dynamite on Monday.
