The vacancy in the office of postmaster at Shepherdstown, caused by the death of Wm. L. Reinhart, will probably be filled by the Civil Service Commission, Under an order by President Wilson, promulgated some time ago, offices of this class are put under civil service regulations, and it is likely that an examination will be held and from the list of eligibles an appointment made. A post-office inspector was here yesterday, but was unable to give definite information as to the selections of a new postmaster.
