James Clark from the Kingdom of Ireland came into Court and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that he has heretofore in due form given notice that it was his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States, and that he is a man of good demeanor, and well disposed towards the Constitution and Government of the United States, and the said James Clark having in open Court taken the following oath “I James Clark do in the presence of Almighty God solemnly swear, that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and do abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever particularly to George the third King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, so help me God.” And the said James Clark having in open Court renounced all claim to any title or order of nobility; Here is therefor admitted a citizen of the United States.
