… a relinquishment of Elizabeth Griggs, widow of John Griggs, do ordered to be [?]ld and on the motion of Richard Williams, who made oath according to Law and with Thos. Griggs (of John), Thomas Brotherton, Wm. H. Griggs, Saml. Buckle, William Lamon, John Griggs, James Flanagan his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $20,000 with condition according to Law, and made oath as the Law requires certificate on the estate of said John Griggs is granted him for obtaining letters of administration in due form, appraises Wm. C. Cark, Saml. W. Lackland, George Ripler, and Jas. Gunnell or any three of them.
