We learn that the jury, in the case of Messrs. Brien & Co. vs. the Canal Company, have assessed the damages at $13,000. The case was argued by very able counsel: Messrs. B. Price, Jas. Dixon, R. H. Henderson, and Walter Jones, for the company; and Messrs. Joseph L. Merrick, Wm. Price, and Frederick A. Schley, for the proprietors of the Antietam Iron Works. The amount claimed, we understand, was $30,000.
